- Light Reflection

Van Gogh, who liked stars in the night sky that shone brightly behind a dark background, was fascinated by the "French city of Arles" among many night skies.
In order to achieve the goal of Project 1 to build a building for architects with artists as architects, a concept model depicting stars colored in the night sky with light reflected in the background of the building through "light reflection" was presented.
As much as he loved Arles' night sky, he worked hard to recreate the composition of Van Gogh's "Arles' Starry Night," which he drew while hanging from work.
Process

The site of the artist's house project was decided to be Jongno-gu, Seoul. Jongno-gu is an area where preservation of traditional culture is important because Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village exist. Since Hanok is a wooden architecture, it has been reinterpreted the way each wood is combined with wood structures such as pillars, rafters, and bouillon.
