What is the poem? Poetry is recognition. Poetry is discovery. Poetry is to be seen
When I suddenly saw a small stone distorted on a road that had passed countless times without even knowing it.
Poetry begins there, and is found there.
For example, when you feel sorry for a person who falls down after being caught by a pebble, poetry is used there.
A "unfamiliar" stone in the usual place.
the action of putting a stone story on a shelf after washing it clean.

Poetry is also found in space. It's a space I thought was the background of my life
When you enter the day with a wall or corner
For example, when you realize that the mark on the wall was someone's sign
Space is converted from everyday space to contemplative space.

In conclusion, what poetry in space and space in poetry mean is storytelling.
Through storytelling, physical space becomes one meaning

Storytelling

윤동주 시인이 자주 올라 별 헤는 밤, 자화상 같은 시를 썼다는 인왕산 터에서 건물의 스토리가 시작된다.

언덕으로 오르는 길가의 버려진 창고시설을 문학관으로 재탄생시키려는 계획으로 설계가 시작되었다.

건물의 초기 모습은 지금의 최종 모습과 많이 달랐다. 이는 설계 도중 지면 속에서 숨겨진 수도가압장(이하 우물)이 발견되면서 설계 방향이 완전히 전환되었기 때문이다.

도면과 기록이 하나도 남아있지 않지만 계속 인왕산의 일부로 존재했던 우물. 우연히 빗물로 인한 산사태가 생겨 벽의 한쪽이 노출되었고 땅 속에 숨겨진 우물 두 개가 발견되었다.

어둡고 협소한 구멍을 통해서 들어간 그 곳은 깊고 긴 세월동안 땅속에 웅크리고 있었다. 오랫동안 고여있던 우물. 건축가는 한 우물의 천장을 모두 들어내어 어둡던 내부에 하늘을 들였다. 하나의 우물(열린 우물)에는 하늘이 담기도록, 다른 하나의 우물(닫힌 우물)에는 어둠이 담기도록 설계가 바뀐 것이다.
